On June 18th, Fashionology International brought their 2016 Fashion Show tour to Charlotte. The experience of a Fashionology show is certainly different than that of your typical runway review. For starters, a 3 course meal is served during the show, and in between designers, guests are entertained by live music.

The list of designers contained both established, and up-and-coming talent, and collections varied from casual garments, to evening wear, and even several kid’s collections.

I was impressed with the overall execution of the show. There were dual runways-as opposed to the ‘traditional’ one, and exaggerated lighting provided an extra sense of drama. Fashionology did an awesome job of picking a range of designers. There seemed to be a look for every type of style. From fun and flirty, to chic and sophisticated; No matter your personal taste there was something for everyone. My favorite piece of the night came from designer, Mo Jazz Collections. This pink, blue, and purple tie-dyed frock was totally unique, and made me think of modern day kimono with a psychedelic 60’s twist. All of the garments from Mo Jazz were truly a reflection of the woman that designed them. The designer even strutted down the runway herself- full of sass and personality.

You can catch the next Fashionolgy show on August 20th in Chicago, Illinois. They will continue to tour through Spring of 2017, with their final show going overseas to Manchester, England.
