On Sunday, April 24th, Level 21 and CTM.LLC commemorated their official launch with a fashion show entitled ‘Walking with a Purpose’. This show helped to benefit The Level Up Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps young girls reach their highest potential. Their mission, is to ‘coordinate an initiative to teach youth, ages 10-17, to ‘take what they need and give what they don’t’. Through travel, counseling, mentorship programs, and even career opportunities- The Level Up Foundation provides chances for young women, who may not have had the ability otherwise, to reach their goals.

The fashion show featured some of the girls from the Level Up Foundation, as well as other inspiring women from CTM.LLC. But these weren’t your stereotypical models. Each woman had her own particular story that she shared with the audience. From cancer survivors, to women living with physical disabilities, each woman shared their personal struggles and what most inspires them.

The event was well attended by some local celebrities, including Jacinda Carabito and Fly Ty; as well as singer-songwriter Jason Jet. Celebrity designer, Stevie Boi (who’s designed for Beyonce, Madonna, and Lady Gaga) also made an appearance-and auctioned off a pair of shades from his collection.

‘Walking with a Purpose’ was about much more than fashion; it was about bringing awareness to the needs of youth. The Level Up Foundation, who will soon be conducting a Summer mentorship program, will continue to promote and sponsor events that will further this awareness.
